Wherever you may be in your journey, right now is the absolute best time in to pursue your dreams of entrepreneurship. Whatever business your heart desires, whatever industry you dream of landing in, and whatever work you want to do, the advent of social media, online marketing, blogs and similar platforms, have transformed that world into a self-driven space, where the very best do really shine.
In other words, you have a great shot at this and you’d be silly not to take full advantage of it. Now.
The barrier to entry to owning and running your own business is the lowest in history. Take a look around you. Most of the people who have made it big have used little more than the resources available to them via the web. They brought their own magic to the world, using the power of the digital age – now this is encouraging! It proves that you can do the very same, because your magic has an equal opportunity to be heard and to be seen.
So say this mantra everyday, “I am being heard and seen!” (I know that’s passive tense and Stephen King would have a heart attack if he saw it but it just works well here!)
Remember the immeasurable power of being seen and heard, without asking for permission, without having the approval of an organization, without being blessed by the Pope or whatever else needed to happen before someone was allowed to reach small or large masses with their uncensored message in the past!
The difference between those who make it and those who don’t is in perspective.
Successful people never lose sight of the fact that everything before them can be an opportunity to get closer to the dream. Some people never get complacent, even about a 5-year old technology; they stay vigilant with it, they get creative, they use it in new and innovative ways, and they exploit the resources at their disposal to inch closer to their vision.
You can do the same. You have all the resources you need. You have the potential for reaching the world. And you have countless opportunities to turn your passion into profit.

Creating An Exit Plan to Pave the Way to Your Business
This is not a motivational sermon. I could not stand those when I was in my miserable corporate job, and as much as I can appreciate them now, I am not here to give you one.
Motivation can be great stuff but I want to appeal to the truly practical and logical side of you! Now is truly the best time to go into business for you. That is my message to you today.
I believe it now because I speak from experience.
I went from a 6-figure work-from-home corporate employee to a zero-income blogger with a dream. In 6-9 months, I had created a real business, a profitable and growing company that emerged from that little blog.
If I can do this – me, an engineer, a corporate techie without a single sales or marketing or writing class to her credit – if I can make this drastic pivot after a 10-year corporate gig, then there is no reason you, my dear, cannot do it.
The one thing I did that served me well was having a smart exit plan [affiliate link]. This plan enabled me to let go of that corporate job with careful preparation. It gave me the confidence to believe in my crazy dream of going solo. It gave me the tools to overcome my fears of failing and facing the unknown.
