I like the feel of your blog Francisco, and this particular post is right up my alley. I like "tools" and I really like the picture you chose for this write up. What can I say, I'm a tool fanatic. I used the Gigya toolbar below to become a fan of your page. Slick.

In my past, I worked my tail off, and in my own right feel I am a darn good builder, carpenter and designer. I've used lots of hand and power tools to deliver high end products to my clients over a 20 year period.

As keen as I've always been in my bricks and mortar business, I picked up a few Adobe books about 5 years ago and now converted full time into digital architecture, my real love since the early eighties. We're talking a slightly different strategy, and the learning curve mighty steep, but the payoff is amazing.

You asked above what "tools" folks are using socially. I may be about 6 months early with what I've got, but even on the internet, change is like the wind, and people duck a little when they see the true bleeding edge. Maybe we could confer on this. Kudos to you, on a great, functional and good looking blog here sir.

Sincerely,
Stuart Liedtke

Oh yeah, the shameless links:

Widget in the "Raw" - http://bit.ly/1z6KHQ -
and my Gigya enabled development site. http://12flat.com/pro-custom/

Francisco,

Your clarity and succinctness are always appreciated. Another great post.

Today I surveyed the pool of attendees at the Washington Holistic Chamber meeting I was facilitating and discovered that:

Nearly 100% had websites but not all!
Only 30% had blogs and only 1/3 of that 30% were actively and consistently blogging
Basically none present were sold on or comfortable with Social Media and Networking as a medium to enhance their businesses.

One veteran corporate copyeditor and writer declared that Facebook downright overwhelmed her.

These holistic service professionals are now looking forward to my forthcoming presentation on how to ease into the new media and get comfortable with it.

Like coaches, many alternative healers and counselors are so referral based and relational in their work that technology is not as readily embraced? Is this just my imagination?

I will be borrowing from your fine ideas and hoping to coax some talented individuals into the realm of New Media for the tool it is, to make 2010 a fine year for them. And I will of course sing your praises as the resource you are for helping people fine tune and integrate their personal branding and presence.

Thanks for your consistency and helpful posts!
